Dobrý den, hello, Czechia! Hello Czechia

Dobrý den, hello, Czechia!

Czechia may not boast a coastline, but you’ll find nature-loving Czechs everywhere, enjoying lakes, rivers (even in the capital) and seas in their home country and across the world. And now, thanks to SipaBoards, they’ll have even more ways to have fun! SipaBoards is opening the doors to this 10-million-strong country.

Meet SMAR, the newest member of the SipaBoards distributor family. SMAR is a Czech commercial and technical company focused on automation and robotization. Its business includes the supply of products, services, and technical solutions.

So how does this relate to watersports and e-SUP’s, you may ask? As the company prides itself on the quality of services provided, its strength lies in the personal approach to each client and being dedicated to the products and interests the team believes in.

“We included watersports in our portfolio last year since it’s a hobby for many of us,” explains Michaela Porubská from SMAR. The company recently expanded into this segment by adding the first products – efoils – followed by inflatable sailboats and SipaBoards electric stand-up paddleboards. “We believe these products all fit together and complement each other perfectly,” Michaela says.

It’s evident that SMAR’s venture into the e-SUP world is equally driven by personal enthusiasm and their seasoned expertise and clear business vision.

The team started introducing the SipaBoards brand to their home market by exhibiting at two fairs in Prague. The official premiere at the annual For Boat held at the PVA EXPO PRAHA exhibition center in Letňany was followed by the For Bikes exhibition at the same venue.

Two industries, two target groups you might say. Well, we prefer to say it in a slightly different way.

Innovation doesn’t know boundaries. After all, the idea of switching from a “regular” bike to an electric one is quite close to the (r)evolution the SipaBoards electric SUP brings to our sport.

The team at SMAR is thrilled with the first feedback from the Czech market. The response was strong, and there are a lot of Czech SUP enthusiasts looking to try the boards on the water as well. They’ll be able to do this real soon – once the weather shows its cards for the spring, the exact date will be communicated to anyone registering their interest (also, you can watch this space for more details).
