SipaBoards is expanding into yet another water activity-loving country.
With its magnificent capital Budapest, great food, friendly people, over 1,300 hot springs, the Rubik’s cube (yes, we’re still mildly obsessed), and fantastic water destinations, Hungary has much to offer.
At SipaBoards, we’re more than happy to join the mix. Balaton, the country’s water jewel, attracts over six million guest nights annually, with the share of foreign visitors constantly rising. There are numerous amazing spots for stand-up paddling at Balaton.
“Balaton is amazing for sure. But there’s more. We’re also talking about Budapest and smaller yet beautiful lakes such as the Tiszató,” explains András Bodnár, head of the developing SipaBoards Hungary team.
“With a population of nearly 10 million, outdoor activities have been growing tremendously over the last few years. SUP is a fun activity that more and more people try every year. But many find it difficult to stand up or keep balance when it’s starting to get wavy. With SipaBoards, it’s just fun and pure outdoor activity. People love it because the motor makes paddling easier and more exciting.” Bodnár is clearly aware of the benefits of electric SUPs.
“We rate the product as absolutely high-tech. My ‘wow’ experience with SipaBoards was when I was convinced that not only was the idea excellent, but the quality was also high and every little detail was worked out. This is why I’m positive that there will be a strong demand for this in Hungary. The electric SUP will cover the same ground as the e-bike did in the past couple of years.”
So, what’s next for SipaBoards in Hungary? The team is focusing on establishing partnerships, with the current goal being to work with 8-10 powerful partners throughout Hungary under the SipaBoards Hungary umbrella. Reliable partners will be selected, and more great locations will be added to the SipaBoards map. The team is also working on web and social media presence and will welcome the Hungarian season starting in June fully charged.
