“Vive la France, vive le paddleboarding électrique,” we said as we embarked on the first-ever SipaBoards Tour de la Riviera. And what a week it had been on the stunning Côte d’Azur!
We showcased SipaBoards’ innovation and proven performance to an enthusiastic audience comprising paddle club members, rental company owners, staff, and numerous paddle enthusiasts.
The French Riviera, renowned as one of Europe’s prime locations to welcome spring, truly lived up to its reputation. Of course, we must say that basking in the gentle sun, the SipaBoards’ e-SUPs added a new dimension to the season’s charm.
Our tour took full advantage of the region’s beauty, meticulously conducted by our resident French team member, Matt, the ambassador of e-SUPs and good mood. SipaBoards were met and tested across various picturesque locations including La Ciotat at Cor Arène Cros, Marseille, Saint-Cyr-Sur-Mer, Hyères, Port Grimaud, Ramatuelle, Mandelieu la Napoule and Villeneuve Loubet, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, and Saint-Raphaël at Port de Plaisance.
We got to showcase the e-SUPs at the beaches, in the tranquil waters, the bustling marinas, and popular spots for rentals and water gear sales.
At each location, the e-SUPs were met with genuine interest and approval. Their performance was tested in various conditions, even against challenging winds (we even did it at 23 knots), and they consistently delivered.
The weather was exceptionally cooperative, with sunny days and temperatures reaching 20°C, providing perfect conditions for the demonstrations to take place. (This was particularly fortunate, considering the recent floods that had impacted the area prior.)
As the paddling season approaches, it’s clear that SipaBoards is set to leave a lasting impression on the French Riviera by introducing a new generation of stand-up paddleboarding to the region.
